At last some good news for Manchester United and their fans. So far, this transfer window, the Red Devils have suffered rejections from a number of their target.
Ruben Amorim wanted to sign Viktor Gyokeres who had a stellar campaign last season for Sporting CP. However, the Swede decided to join Arsenal.
The Red Devils were also targeting Hugo Ekitike. But, the French star went to Liverpool. The lack of Champions League and European football is hurting United big time.
Apart from signing Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mebumo, Manchester United have struggled in the transfer window so far and this was expected from the beginning.
That is why Manchester United have alternatives ready for each target they have. After Mbeumo, Ruben Amorim is desperate to sign a striker.
Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee disappointed last season. That is why the Red Devils are looking for a striker who can guarantee at least 20 goals in a season.
That is why they are looking to sign Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig. The Slovenian is the next transfer target after Gyokeres, Ekitike, and a host of strikers United were linked with.
However, currently, Sesko is not the only striker United are looking to sign. They are also looking at Ollie Watkins from Aston Villa as he is experienced and Premier League-proven.
Newcastle United are also in the race for Benjamin Sesko as the Magpies are looking at the Slovenian as the replacement for Alexander Isak who could be on his way to Liverpool.
However, the Magpies have suffered another transfer blow this summer. After the Red Devils have held face-to-face talks with Benjamin Sesko, the Slovenian has given green light to a move to United.
This is coming to Ben Jacobs. Manchester United are currently in talks with both the player’s camp and club to secure the deal.
It will be interesting to see how long it takes for Manchester United to get this Benjamin Sesko transfer over the line.
