Arsenal have done wonderfully in the transfer market this summer. So far, they have signed 7 players and also let 7 players leave this summer.
However, Andrea Berta is not done yet. He is leaving no stone unturned to help Mikel Arteta build a squad that can win the Premier League and challenge for the Champions League this season.
Before the summer transfer window shuts, Arsenal are looking to sign some more players who can boost the depth of their squad.
In the past few seasons, Arsenal lost the Premier League title race because of the lack of squad depth. Now, they don’t want to make the same mistake.
That is why Arsenal are trying to sign a new defender. But they need to sell one of their defenders so that they can make space for a new defender.
Now, Oleksandr Zinchenko is one player who could leave this summer. The former Manchester City star is struggling to get game time.
Riccardo Calafiori is now the first choice left-back for the Gunners. If the Italian is not playing, then Jakub Kiwior is the preferred replacement.
However, according to Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal could receive another bid for Jakub Kiwior from FC Porto this summer.
The Portuguese side have already placed a bid for the defender in July and the Gunners rejected that bid.
Porto want to sign Kiwior on a €20 million loan deal with an obligation to buy. They are looking to place an improved bid now.
If Kiwior leaves this summer, then Arsenal will go after Piero Hincapie from Bayer Leverkusen. Tottenham Hotspur are also looking to sign the same player.
