Real Madrid set to sign Chelsea star after Florentino Perez wins election

The Madrid president reportedly pledged to pursue another superstar signing as part of the club’s rebuild.

Real Madrid are preparing for another important summer under Florentino Perez following his latest election victory.

However, attention is already turning towards major transfer targets ahead of a new era at the Bernabeu.

Perez secured re-election after defeating challenger Enrique Riquelme and immediately promised ambitious moves under incoming manager Jose Mourinho.

The Madrid president reportedly pledged to pursue another superstar signing as part of the club’s rebuild.

One of the names linked strongly with Madrid in recent weeks was Bayern Munich winger Michael Olise.

However, the Bundesliga champions quickly made their stance clear and insisted the French international is not available for transfer at any price.

Therefore, Real Madrid have continued exploring alternative elite targets across Europe. Meanwhile, Chelsea are also preparing for a major summer under new manager Xabi Alonso.

The Blues could reshape several areas of the squad while deciding which players remain central to the long-term project at Stamford Bridge.

Despite ongoing rebuilding plans, Chelsea have not actively searched for buyers for several of their key stars.

However, growing interest from Europe’s biggest clubs could still create difficult situations during the transfer window. That attention has now intensified around Enzo Fernandez.

According to the Daily Mail, Real Madrid have expressed genuine interest in signing the Chelsea midfielder this summer.

The report confirmed that Madrid are one of the few clubs financially capable of pursuing the Argentina international.

Fernandez is also understood to be open to leaving Chelsea for a new challenge during the current transfer window.

The midfielder has previously admitted publicly that he would like to live in Madrid one day, which has further fuelled speculation surrounding a possible move to Spain.

Chelsea, however, remain in a strong negotiating position. The Premier League side value Fernandez at around £120M and are prepared to keep him at Stamford Bridge if no suitable offer arrives.

The midfielder remains contracted to the club until 2032 after joining from Benfica in a £106.8M transfer.

Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City are also monitoring Fernandez. Fernandez is currently away preparing for the World Cup with Argentina.
