Fabrizio Romano issues update on Ex-Arsenal star

A former Arsenal player has joined a Champions League team.

Arsenal transfer update

Arsenal somehow managed to get three points against the struggling Wolverhampton Wanderers side. Such performances will be concerning for the Gunners’ fans.

They are just a couple of points ahead of Manchester City in the title race. However, the injuries they are having by Christmas, Mikel Arteta will not be happy.

William Saliba came back for the game against Wolves. However, Gabriel Magalhaes remains out for the time being.

Piero Hincapie has done a decent job. However, there is no doubt that the partnership of Gabriel and Saliba is on a different level.

That is why Mikel Arteta will be hoping to get his best players fit before their crucial run of fixtures. Also, the Gunners will be active in the January market.

Arsenal have done an amazing job under Andrea Berta in the summer. They will be looking to replicate that and fill the gaps in the squad during January.

Meanwhile, a former Arsenal player has joined a Champions League team. Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has also confirmed the transfer.

As per the update, former Arsenal defender Takehiro Tomiyasu has joined Ajax on a short-term deal, valid until 2026.

Transfer News Live previously reported about this impending move for the Japanese international.

Tomiyasu became a free agent earlier in the summer. For the Gunners, the Japanese has made 84 appearances since joining in 2021 from Bologna.

Now, the 27-year-old is all set to start a new chapter in his career following his departure from Arsenal.
