Manchester United will be looking to make significant moves in the summer. Their priority remains signing a midfielder. However, they will be looking to find a forward as well.
In recent years, the Red Devils have realised that signing players from outside the Premier League can be risky.
That is why they are looking for players with experience of playing in the English top-flight division.
Most of their priority targets for next summer are from the Premier League. They are already looking at Elliot Anderson, Carlo Baleba, and Adam Wharton.
Now, they are also looking at a midfielder from Aston Villa, as Transfer News Live reported. Moreover, they have added a Newcastle United midfielder to their list of targets.
Furthermore, when it comes to their attack, they are already looking at a Bundesliga forward. Transfer News Live reported that the Red Devils have an advantage in that race.
However, Liverpool have reportedly reached an agreement on personal terms with that forward. That is why they are shifting their focus to a Newcastle United forward.
According to journalist Ben Jacobs (via The United Stand YouTube channel), Manchester United are eyeing Sandro Tonali and Anthony Gordon from Newcastle.
The Red Devils might have to spend around £225 million to sign the Newcastle duo. However, the Red Devils will face competition from their Premier League rivals.
Sandro Tonali has become a target for Arsenal as well. They were looking to sign him in January. And the Gunners will return for the Italian international next summer.
As for Anthony Gordon, Liverpool are showing interest in the former Everton forward. So, it will be tough for the Red Devils to sign these two Newcastle stars.
Furthermore, they have to secure a Champions League spot to ensure a large transfer budget and sell some of their players on high wages to make these moves feasible
