Breaking News - Manchester United

Manchester United have already started laying the foundations for next season.

The club recently secured new deals for Harry Maguire and Kobbie Mainoo as preparations continue for a huge summer at Old Trafford.

United have also qualified for the Champions League after their massive victory over Liverpool. This victory has further strengthened the mood around the club.

At the same time, the search for a new permanent manager is entering its final stages. This will become one of the biggest talking points of the summer.

Now, there could be another major boost behind the scenes. The club has spent months looking for the right commercial opportunities after deciding against rushing into several previous offers.

United believed patience would eventually help them secure a stronger agreement. That patience now appears to be paying off.

According to The Athletic, Manchester United are in advanced talks with Betway over a major new sponsorship agreement that could become one of the most lucrative training kit deals in football.

If completed, Betway’s logo would appear on the club’s training kit from next season. It would also feature across official club media and behind-the-scenes content.

United have been without a training kit sponsor since their previous deal with Tezos expired in June 2025. That partnership was reportedly worth around £24 million per year.

However, the club refused to accept lower offers over the past year as executives pushed for better value in a changing commercial market.

The proposed Betway agreement could reportedly be worth more than £18 million. That would place it among the biggest training kit sponsorships in European football.

Betway already has strong links with Premier League football through partnerships with clubs like Manchester City, Arsenal and Brighton. The company also previously sponsored West Ham’s shirts.

With gambling sponsors being removed from the front of Premier League shirts from the 2026-27 season, companies are now focusing more heavily on training wear and alternative branding opportunities.

Meanwhile, United are also continuing talks over a new sleeve sponsorship deal as DXC Technology’s agreement approaches its expiry this summer.
