Arsenal recently made an enquiry about the availability of a PSG forward. And the reply they received has shocked both Andrea Berta and Mikel Arteta.
The Gunners are looking to revamp their frontline. Both Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli could leave the club next summer.
That is why they are looking to make sure they get the best replacements possible. Now, for Gabriel Jesus, Arsenal are monitoring the situation of Julian Alvarez.
The former Manchester City forward is having a fantastic season for Atletico Madrid. And that is why Arsenal are looking to bring him to the Emirates Stadium.
Apart from the Gunners, Chelsea and Barcelona are also monitoring his situation. Also, the North London club is showing interest in Christian Kofane from Bayer Leverkusen.
Now, the Gunners would also want to find a replacement for Martinelli if the Brazilian leaves the club. That is why they were interested in a PSG forward.
Arteta wants a forward who can operate from the left wing. He already has the likes of Noni Madueke and Bukayo Saka to operate from the right.
Now, on the left side, Arteta has Martinelli and Leandro Trossard. The Belgian is already 31, and so, he will not get any younger. That is why Berta wants to look to the future.
According to CaughtOffside, Arsenal explored a move for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. However, PSG have already made one thing clear to the Gunners.
The Georgian is happy in Paris, and the current European champions have no intention of selling the 25-year-old. So, the Premier League leaders have to place an offer the French club cannot refuse.
So, the reported price that Arsenal must pay if they want Kvaratskhelia is around €180 million. Now, this will be a difficult deal for the Gunners.
That is why it seems Arsenal will be looking for other targets next summer, as they look to find a solution for their left wing.
