Arsenal transfer update

Arsenal are heading into a massive end to the season. The Gunners have booked their place in the Champions League final after overcoming Atletico Madrid.

They also remain firmly in control of the Premier League title race. Mikel Arteta’s side have shown huge progress this season.

Bukayo Saka once again stepped up on the biggest stage and scored the decisive goal against Atletico to send Arsenal into the final.

Transfers News Live already revealed that Arsenal’s Champions League final kick-off time has changed and also, their fans will have to pay a hefty amount to watch that game.

Meanwhile, Arsenal are already planning for the summer transfer window. The club will strengthen several areas of the squad as they prepare for another demanding campaign next season.

However, incoming transfers will not be the only focus at the Emirates. Arsenal also need to make decisions on players who are not fully part of Arteta’s long-term plans.

One defender, in particular, has impressed during his spell away from North London. His performances have now convinced his current club to make the deal permanent.

According to an official statement released by Porto, Jakub Kiwior will leave Arsenal permanently after the Portuguese side triggered the purchase option in his loan agreement.

Porto confirmed they will pay a fixed fee of €17 million (£14.5m), while additional bonuses could take the overall package to €22 million (£18.8m).

The statement also revealed that Arsenal will retain a percentage of any future sale involving the defender.

Kiwior played 38 times for Porto this season and became an important figure under Francesco Farioli as the club secured the league title.

It was Porto’s first league triumph since 2021. The defender also formed a strong partnership with fellow Polish international Jan Bednarek at the back.

Meanwhile, Arsenal’s attention remains firmly on the final weeks of the season. But with the first summer exit now confirmed, transfer activity at the Emirates is already beginning to take shape.
