Manchester City have started a new era under Enzo Maresca following Pep Guardiola’s departure this summer.
City suffered a 3-0 Community Shield defeat against Arsenal before responding in their Premier League opener.
They beat Bournemouth 2-1 at the Etihad Stadium through goals from Marc Guehi and Josko Gvardiol.
Meanwhile, City have also overseen major changes during an extremely busy summer transfer window.
Ayyoub Bouaddi arrived from Lille for an initial £81.4 million, joining record signing Elliot Anderson in midfield.
City are also pursuing Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez as they continue reshaping Maresca’s squad.
However, several significant departures have created further gaps before the transfer window closes.
Rodri joined Barcelona, while Tijjani Reijnders and Matheus Nunes also completed moves away from Manchester.
City also sold Savio to Tottenham Hotspur in a package worth up to £85 million. Omar Marmoush is nearing a Tottenham move, while Nico Gonzalez is heading towards Newcastle United.
Those attacking departures have now encouraged City to consider another Premier League option before deadline day.
According to talkSPORT, Manchester City have joined Arsenal in showing interest in Everton forward Iliman Ndiaye.
Everton reportedly value Ndiaye at £80 million, meaning either club would need to make a significant offer.
The 26-year-old has already rejected a new contract offer from Everton during the summer.
He also came close to joining Al Hilal before that proposed transfer eventually collapsed.
Arsenal have also considered Ndiaye while continuing their pursuit of Atletico Madrid forward Julian Alvarez. Ndiaye was also a target for Manchester United.
However, Alvarez prefers a move to Barcelona, which could force Arsenal to explore alternatives.
Ndiaye scored six goals and provided three assists in 32 Premier League appearances last season.
He also started Everton’s opening league victory over Crystal Palace and assisted Thierno Barry.
With City losing attacking options and Arsenal still seeking another forward, both clubs could now battle for Ndiaye.
