Manchester United are planning for a massive move next summer that might send shockwaves throughout the transfer market.
They are eyeing a move for an Arsenal star. In recent years, United have signed academy players like Ayden Heaven, Chido Obi-Martin, and Hubert Graczyk.
The last time United signed a senior player from Arsenal was Alexis Sanchez, and everyone knows how that move unfolded at Old Trafford.
However, before Sanchez, they signed Robin Van Persie from Arsenal in 2012, and because of the Dutchman, United won their last Premier League title in 2013.
Therefore, if United sign a player from the Gunners, it will not be for the very first time. And, the Red Devils are planning to make this summer big.
There are multiple areas where United want to add players. Now, qualifying for the Champions League would help their cause significantly. And, they are well on their way to doing so.
Under Michael Carrick, Manchester United are experiencing a resurgence. Now, they are third in the Premier League table and five points ahead of Liverpool, sitting in fifth place.
That is why United have already started planning big moves for next summer. They will be looking to add midfielders next summer.
However, there is another area they would like to strengthen. They want to add a left-back. According to Sky Sports reported Danyal Khan on X, Manchester United want to sign Myles Lewis-Skelly.
The 19-year-old signed a new five-year deal with the Gunners last summer. He is not getting proper game time because of Piero Hincapie and Riccardo Calafiori.
Arsenal have already decided to make Hincapie’s deal permanent next summer. That is why Lewis-Skelly could look to leave the Gunners next summer.
Apart from Lewis-Skelly, Manchester United are also looking at Nathaniel Brown and Lewis Hall to strengthen their left-back position.
