Arsenal are preparing for another ambitious campaign after winning the Premier League title and finishing as runners-up in the UEFA Champions League.
Mikel Arteta and sporting director Andrea Berta have turned their attention towards strengthening the squad with proven Premier League talent.
Morgan Rogers remains Arsenal’s top transfer target. The Gunners are locked in negotiations with Aston Villa as they push to sign the England international.
At the same time, Arsenal are also interested in Rogers’ teammate Ezri Konsa as Arteta looks to reinforce his defence.
The club are also monitoring Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimaraes, while continuing to trim the squad after the departures of Jakub Kiwior and Karl Hein.
Arsenal also missed out on Leicester City wonderkid Jeremy Monga after Manchester City hijacked the deal.
Despite those recruitment plans, fresh uncertainty has now emerged over Martin Odegaard‘s future. The Arsenal captain endured a frustrating 2025–26 campaign.
A recurring knee injury disrupted his season and limited his influence in midfield. Even so, he remained an important leader whenever he was available.
Odegaard is currently player at the 2026 FIFA World Cup representing Norway. He helped his country reach the last 16 of the competition with an important assist against Ivory Coast.
Now, according to Turkish journalist Selman Ozturk, Galatasaray have reached a full agreement on personal terms with Odegaard.
The report claims the Norwegian’s agent, Bjorn Kvarme, travelled to Istanbul last week to complete negotiations.
No issues reportedly remain between the player and the Turkish champions. The focus has now shifted to negotiations with Arsenal.
Galatasaray hope to complete the transfer for less than €40 million. If Arsenal reject that valuation, the Turkish side are ready to discuss a long-term instalment structure instead.
