Manchester United are not having a very fruitful transfer window.
They have only managed to sign Matheus Cunha and Diego Leon.
Ruben Amorim knows that these two signings are not enough for him to compete for the top 5 spot in the Premier League.
The Red Devils are actively negotiating with Brentford to sign Bryan Mbeumo.
Also, Manchester United are in talks with Aston Villa for the signing of Emiliano Martinez.
Apart from that, Manchester United would ideally want to sign a midfielder and a defender.
They have already lost Jonny Evans and Victor Lindelof after their contracts expired.
Ruben Amorim knows the injury record of Manchester United from the last season.
That is why he wants to sign a defender and United are actively looking at the market.
They are already eyeing a PSG defender who did not have a great outing at the recently concluded FIFA Club World Cup.
That is why PSG boss Luis Enrique will look to part ways, and Manchester United would have loved to sign him.
However, it looks like the dream of signing Lucas Beraldo from PSG will remain a dream for Manchester United.
According to TBR Football, the Champions League winner is now being offered to the Premier League champions.
Currently, Liverpool are in pole position to sign the PSG defender.
Also, Liverpool are eyeing a move for Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi.
And, Guehi also wants to play for Liverpool. Now, Liverpool has to convince Crystal Palace to finalize that move.
In case that move falls through, then Liverpool could have a move for the PSG defender.
And, if that happens, then Manchester United will suffer another transfer blow.
So, it is high time that Manchester United should make a move. Otherwise, Liverpool would swoop in and sign their transfer target.
