The Alexander Isak to Liverpool transfer saga is heating up. Newcastle United will face Liverpool tonight, and many are calling this clash the Isak derby.
Newcastle are holding firm on their prized possession. They don’t want to let Isak go unless Liverpool pay what they are looking for.
Even after that, the sale would depend on how fast Newcastle can manage to sign a replacement. As the final week of the transfer window starts, things are expected to escalate.
Now, in the mix of this conundrum of the Alexander Isak to Liverpool transfer saga, one WWE superstar decided to take the moment and make his opinion heard.
The stage was set, and the timing was perfect for him to do so. WWE hosted an event in Newcastle. And during a match, one WWE superstar decided to show his support for Alexander Isak.
The match in the spotlight was a 6-man tag team match between The Judgment Day and the team of CM Punk, LA Knight, and Penta.
During that game, something crazy happened that drew massive heat from the crowd for the wrestler who showed his support for Alexander Isak.
After doing a move, JD McDonagh from The Judgment took off his wrestling shirt, which revealed the Liverpool shirt that he was wearing under his wrestling gear.
Soon after, he turned so that everyone could see his back, and the entire crowd started booing him in Newcastle.
At the back, Isak 9 was written in bold letters. He also posted the video on social media with #FREEISAK.
Now, The Judgment Day is a heel faction in WWE. So, it is quite natural for a heel character to try and draw heat from the crowd.
One has to admit that what McDonagh did there was smart and calculated, and it worked wonderfully.
