Manchester United are seriously showing an interest in signing Sandro Tonali next summer. The Red Devils have a massive task of replacing Casemiro in the summer.
The Brazilian has already announced that he will leave once his contract expires at the end of this season. So, United will be looking at multiple midfielders next summer.
And, one of them will surely be Tonali. The Newcastle United star has been terrific for the Magpies this season. However, the same cannot be said about Newcastle.
That is why their board will perform a review at the end of the season and then decide on the future of Eddie Howe.
Also, the Newcastle CEO, David Hopkinson, has said that the Magpies will not experience a similar situation to that they experienced with Alexander Isak last summer.
They will be open to letting players leave on their terms. That is why if United can convince Newcastle, then there is a possibility of signing Tonali.
However, they have to convince the Italian to join them at Old Trafford. Now, it seems Tonali has set a non-negotiable condition to join Manchester United.
According to Football Fancast, Sandro Tonali will only join Manchester United if they can secure a spot in the Champions League.
Now, Manchester United will face competition from Manchester City for the signature of Tonali. However, Tonali could reportedly ditch City for a move to Old Trafford.
The Italian prefers a move to Manchester United over Manchester City. Now, this could be a massive boost for the Red Devils in their pursuit of the midfielder.
However, recent reports also suggested that United may leave the race for Tonali even after initiating contact with his camp.
Currently, Manchester United are one the verge of securing Champions League football next season as they have a six-point lead over Liverpool, who are occupying the fifth place in the table.
